Cable & Wire Cutter/Stripper

Hand tools for preparing and terminating cable — adjustable and self-adjusting wire strippers, cable cutters, ratchet and plier crimpers for insulated and non-insulated terminals, coax stripping tools for RG6, RG59 and RG11, and duct and conduit cutters.

A self-adjusting stripper saves time on repetitive work but a swivel-blade stripper handles odd sizes and jacketed cable better, so most vans carry both. For data work, use a tool cut for the specific coax or UTP jacket rather than a general stripper — nicking the shield is what causes the intermittent fault you get called back for. Pick up from the North Parramatta trade counter or have it sent out — Mon–Fri 6:30am–5pm, Sat 7:30am–1pm.
